What We Leave Behind
A collaborative immersive theatre experience where audiences reconstruct a fictional neuroscientist’s identity by selecting memory cards.
Concept / Research
What We Leave Behind is an interactive, technology-enabled performance about memory loss, identity reconstruction, and ethical decision-making. Audiences play scientists tasked with restoring Dr. Isaac Larimore’s consciousness by selecting memories from a larger archive.
Technical System
RFID memory cards trigger AI-generated audio, text, image, and projection outputs. As more cards are tested, the system degrades, mirroring cognitive overload and memory collapse.
Audience / Participation
The work asks audiences to make decisions through fragmented materials rather than a complete biography. Memory becomes a system of selection, omission, and collective responsibility.
